For thousands of years, beads have been handcrafted and used as collateral all over the world. Every region has a specialty based on the materials available and skills handed down. A myriad of traditional, vintage, and contemporary beads continue to be traded around the world.
Appreciation of a gem or stone’s natural beauty and its origin is expressed in each necklace, bracelet or earring that I make. In addition to gemstones and pearls, I use gold and silver foil Murano glass beads from Italy. I travel to the Tucson Gem Show every Spring to find the best quality and price.
